TICKET TO NOWHERE
A Kolkata tailor has the Indian Railways doing some extra work with his ticket to the future. He has a Rs.9.75 ticket for travel between Kolkata and Jamshedpur on June 28,
2073 .Using a (now defunct) rule that let passengers buy tickets for any future date, he bought the ticket in 1973,long before computer reservations arrived. Since he’s now 60, he knows he won’t be making the journey, but hopes to gift his prized possession to his grandson. Railway officials recently woke up to it and must continue a manual record of the ticket.
